The steering wheel and brake peddle locked (unable to steer or pump brakes) causing me to lose control of the car. I ended up sideswiping a tree and rear-ending a parked pickup truck, totaling my car. This malfunction was an ongoing issue that I initially reported to the dealership which the car came from and also after occurring 2 additional times (with video evidence). The contact owned a 2021 Nissan Rogue Sport. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 40 MPH, another vehicle coming from the opposite direction drove into her lane, causing a head-on collision. The contact stated that the air bags had deployed; however, the driver's air bag had not deployed until after she hit the steering wheel from the impact. The contact received notification of the NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V093000 (Electrical System) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The dealer was contacted and confirmed that parts were not yet available for the recall repair. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.
