TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 MONACO KNIGHT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRANSFER SWITCH CAUGHT ON FIRE AND MELTED. THE CONTACT, WHO WAS A FIREFIGHTER, EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. NEITHER A POLICE NOR A FIRE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT RESEARCHED AND FOUND NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 12V516000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM), WHICH WAS RELATED TO THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THEY WOULD NOT REPAIR THE RV BECAUSE IT WAS NOT THEIR RESPONSIBILITY. THE DEALER WAS ALSO CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THEY WOULD NOT REPAI…
