WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT I SUDDENLY LOST MY HEADLIGHTS. UPON CLOSER EXAMINATION THE 20 AMP HEADLIGHT CIRCUIT IS FED DIRECTLY INTO AN SM209 CONTROLLER THROUGH LIGHT GAUGE WIRING (20 AMPS REQUIRES THE USE OF 12 GA.) VIA A FLIMSY LIGHT DUTY ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR AT POSITION J12. THIS CONNECTION FRIED AT THE CONNECTOR DAMAGING THE CONTROLLER AND DIRECTLY CAUSING THE HEADLIGHTS TO FAIL. AFTER REVIEWING SEVERAL BLOGS I SEE THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM. HAVING DRIVEN DOWN SEVERAL PITCH-BLACK STRETCHES OF HIGHWAY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS I COULD HAVE FL…
