Owner report 11139376 · 2018-10-10 (October 10, 2018)

ELECTRONIC SHIFTER STAYS IN NEUTRAL AFTER TURNING OFF THE VEHICLE AND TAKING FOOT OFF THE BRAKE WHILE PARKING. THIS IS A SERIOUS DESIGN FLAW AND OFTEN CAUSES A DANGEROUS ROLLING CONDITION AFTER PARKING UNTIL THE DRIVER IS AWARE THE VEHICLE IS NOT STOPPED AND IN PARK. NO AUDIBLE ALERTS OR SAFETY WARNINGS ARE TRIGGED IF YOU DO NOT PRESS PARK. IN ONE CASE OUR VEHICLE ROLLED ACROSS A PARKING LOT CAUSING SERIOUS DAMAGE TOTALING $4,213.95 AND COULD HAVE EASILY KILLED SOMEONE.

Owner report 11149969 · 2018-11-07 (November 7, 2018)

WE BOUGHT OUR BRAND NEW CAR IN DECEMBER 2016. SINCE WE BOUGHT IT, WE'VE HAD A MULTITUDE OF THINGS THAT WOULD GO WRONG. FIRST, A BRAKE LIGHT WARNING WENT ON FOR NO REASON, THEN OUR A/C WASN'T WORKING WHICH OCCURRED ON MAY 2017. WE EXPERIENCED ALOT OF MINOR ISSUES INCLUDING THE PHONE, BLUETOOTH CONNECTION, THE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT WOULD GO ON. IF YOU STOPPED THE CAR, AND RESET IT, THIS WOULD GO AWAY. THE "HOLD BRAKE" FOR A HILL WOULD WORK AND THEN NOT WORK; WINDOWS WOULD GO DOWN ON THEIR OWN. THE SIRIUS RADIO WOULD WORK INTERMITTENTLY. ON …

MY CAR IS 2017 MERCEDES BENZ GLE 350 SUV. LAST SATURDAY (AUG 12), I DROVE ON HIGHWAY I-45 WITH MY FAMILY FROM DALLAS TO HOUSTON. I PULLED OVER MY SUV AND WAS TOLD THAT THE FUEL WAS LEAKING BEHIND ON THE HIGHWAY, I LOOKED AT THE UNDERNEATH OF THE CAR, FOUND THAT THE FUEL TANK WAS BROKEN WITH A HOLE, BECAUSE IT WAS A PLASTIC FUEL TANK AND THERE WAS NO UNDER GU…

Owner report 11420415 · 2021-06-10 (June 10, 2021)

on Several occasions while either backing into my drive way, parking stall or out into the roadway, when i shifted the vehicle into gear, either Drive or reverse, the vehicle failed to do either. I had to turn off the vehicle and restart in order to have it change gear. This was dangerous as when the vehicle failed it was in the line of traffic flow and if another vehicle had not seen me in time it would have caused a collision. Component has not been inspected by police or insurance as of yet but I do have it into Mercedes dealer for inspect…

Owner report 11510233 · 2023-03-05 (March 5, 2023)

This letter is an attempt to connect to the correct channels seeking resolution regarding a recent recall. My 2017 Mercedes GLE350 stalled in the rain and I subsequently had to get it towed to the dealership for repairs. And upon completion of the repairs, I received a recall notice about the specific issue that was just addressed. Pursuant to the recall notice, I sought a reimbursement for the repairs in which I was directed to Mercedes Customer Care and received a case number. The dealership is being a little hard-nosed regarding the reimburs…

Owner report 11611792 · 2024-08-30 (August 30, 2024)

The transmission does not shift from first to second and created several dangerous situations in whichI tried to enter the highway. I called the corporate headquarters to make a complaint and was sent to the dealership to file a lemon law complaint. The Transmission specialist at AAMCO said the transmission parts are in good shape, but the problem is that there is too much clearance between the transmission casing and the transmission parts. I told him that this is a defective engineering and these vehicles should be recalled. When I did furthe…

Owner report 11650102 · 2025-03-24 (March 24, 2025)

While driving our 2017 MB GLE 350-4matic at about 40 mph, it spontaneously downshifted to M1. We were in traffic, so this was a very dangerous for us and for the people behind us. We limped to our destination, not knowing what had happened or what to do. When we re-started the car the next day, it seemed ok. But after driving some distance, it spontaneously downshifted to M1 again. We stopped the car, turned it off and re-started it. My mechanic checked the car with his analyzer, which showed that the transmission was not transmitting/displayin…
