WHENEVER I FILL THE GAS TANK FULL WITH FUEL, THERE IS AN OVER WHELMING SMELL OF GAS IN THE GARAGE. THERE APPEARS TO BE A LEAK WHEN THE TANK IS NEAR FULL. ONCE I DRIVE THE CAR AROUND FOR A WHILE, THE SMELL OF GAS GOES AWAY. *TR

Owner report 10184563 · 2007-03-08 (March 8, 2007)

I HAVE A 2006 MERCEDES-BENZ CLS500. WHEN FACED OR PARKING DOWNWARDS ON A HILL, THE CAR ROLLS FORWARD WHEN YOU ATTEMPT TO CHANGE GEARS. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO BRAKE IN TIME, YOU WILL HIT SOMETHING. TWICE I ALMOST HIT THE PARKED CAR IN FRONT OF ME, ONCE A WALL IN A SUBTERRANEAN PARKING GARAGE. FOR EXAMPLE. I AM PARKED ON A HILL FACING DOWN. I NEED TO BACK UP TO PULL OUT OF MY PARKING SPACE. BEFORE I CAN SHIFT (THIS IS AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION), THE CAR IS ROLLING FORWARD TOWARD THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. I COMPLAINED TO THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURE…

Owner report 10787494 · 2015-11-01 (November 1, 2015)

THE VEHICLE WAS SENDED TO INSPECTION DUE TO A "BRAKE WARNING" STARTED SHOWING AT THE GAUGES CONTROL PANEL. MERCEDES BENZ DEALER SERVICE MANAGER INDICATES THAT THEY NOT HAVE A CORRECT TOOL TO RECODE TO ACTUALIZE THE BRAKE SYSTEM AND /OR FIX THE PROBLEM AT THAT TIME. THREE VISITS AND SEVERAL PHONE CALLS BEEN MADE TO THE DEALER. THE SERVICE ADVISOR IS ALWAYS WITH OTHER CUSTOMER. I'M STOP TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE, BECAUSE I NEVER KNEW HOW DEEP IS THE PROBLEM. DOING A VISUAL INSPECTION I OBSERVED THAT THE REAR BRAKE PADS ARE NOT APPLYING GOOD ENOUGH, THE…

Owner report 10171853 · 2006-10-25 (October 25, 2006)

NO WARNING EVENTS. AUTOMATIC SHIFTER FREEZES IN GEAR. REPAIRED ONCE - RECURRED. REPAIRED AGAIN - RECURRED. WIRING REROUTED TO ANOTHER CIRCUIT - SHIFTER NOW JERKS AS IT GOES INTO GEAR. WE ARE CONCERNED ABOUT FAILURE AGAIN. MERCEDES CLAIMED THAT A CASE FILE WAS SET UP AND THAT WE WERE THE ONLY INCIDENT IN THE US. WE CALLED AFTER THE MOST RECENT INCIDENCE AND WE WERE INFORMED THAT NO CASE FILE WAS ESTABLISHED BY THE DEALER. IN ADDITION, RIGHT REAR TIRE THREAD BARE AFTER 8,000 MILES OF USE IN LIGHT DRIVING - 85% CITY. *NM
