TL* THE CONTACT DROVE A 2019 MERCEDES-BENZ A220. WHILE AT A FUEL STATION WITH THE ENGINE WAS POWERED OFF, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESTART. THE CONTACT CALLED MERCEDES-BENZ ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE AND A TECHNICIAN CAME OUT AND ATTEMPTED TO START THE VEHICLE, BUT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. THE TECHNICIAN REMOVED THE BATTERY CABLE FROM THE TERMINAL, WAITED A FEW SECONDS, RECONNECTED THE CABLE, AND WAS ABLE TO START THE VEHICLE. Owner report 11470964 · 2022-06-25 (June 25, 2022)

My A220 has numerous problems starting the airbag failure light comes on very often which I took in for a repair - Mercedes of downtown stated they fixed but it still has the airbag failure light appearing every now and again. The second issue that keeps happening is what I believe is a transmission failure, the first time I bought the car I noticed it kept jolting when accelerating and or going up a hill. I was quite scared because I had a ford focus that did the same thing and would die on me all the time. This A220 has the same exact joltin…

WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH AND DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESPOND AND THE GEAR DISPLAY INDICATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS IN THE NEUTRAL POSITION. AFTER RESTARTING THE ENGINE, THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO FLAGSHIP MOTOR CARS OF LYNNFIELD (NORTH 385 BROADWAY RTE 1, LYNNFIELD, MA) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. AFTER RETRIEVING THE VEHICLE, THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE M…

Owner report 11258636 · 2019-09-27 (September 27, 2019)

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 MERCEDES A220. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LANE DEPARTURE WARNING INDICATOR FAILED TO OPERATE. WHILE DRIVING 50 TO 60 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL SHOOK AND THE LANE DEPARTURE SYSTEM PREVENTED THE CONTACT FROM CHANGING LANES. AN ICON ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL, INDICATING THAT THE VEHICLE WAS LEAVING THE ROAD. ALSO, THE VEHICLE MADE AN ABNORMAL NOISE AND THE BRAKES ENGAGED WITH A LOUD NOISE AND CANCELED THE LANE CHANGE. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE ROAD MARKINGS WERE SOLID LINES AND THAT WAS LIKELY WHY THE RO…

Owner report 11631621 · 2024-12-19 (December 19, 2024)

The tow hook and strap used when necessary to tow a car and that is stowed under the car or behind the rear bumper and accessed through a small door on the bumper spontaneously deployed while I was driving. It flew up against the side of the car, causing minor damage, damaged and partially dislodged the rear bumper, and the hook embedded in the right rear tire, causing it to go flat. I am waiting to learn whether there is additional damage to the underside of the car such as to a brake line. The parts are available for inspection. This is not a…

Owner report 11621664 · 2024-10-24 (October 24, 2024)

The car shakes, vibrates and has rough idling. My engines stalls when it is at low rpm. I am afraid that if this is not fixed a fuel leak could occur in the presence of an ignition source, such as hot engine or exhaust components, which could increase the risk of a fire
