TL* THE CONTACT DROVE A 2019 MERCEDES-BENZ A220. WHILE AT A FUEL STATION WITH THE ENGINE WAS POWERED OFF, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESTART. THE CONTACT CALLED MERCEDES-BENZ ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE AND A TECHNICIAN CAME OUT AND ATTEMPTED TO START THE VEHICLE, BUT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. THE TECHNICIAN REMOVED THE BATTERY CABLE FROM THE TERMINAL, WAITED A FEW SECONDS, RECONNECTED THE CABLE, AND WAS ABLE TO START THE VEHICLE. My A220 has numerous problems starting the airbag failure light comes on very often which I took in for a repair - Mercedes of downtown stated they fixed but it still has the airbag failure light appearing every now and again. The second issue that keeps happening is what I believe is a transmission failure, the first time I bought the car I noticed it kept jolting when accelerating and or going up a hill. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 21V354000 (Back Over Prevention, Electrical System) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact called the local dealer who stated that parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair.
