Owner report 10000777 · 2003-01-07 (January 7, 2003)

ON MY 1995 MAZDA MX-6, WITH 67,000 MILES, THE TRANSMISSION HAS STARTED BEHAVING ERRATICALLY. WHEN YOU PUT IT IN DRIVE, IT DOESN'T ENGAGE IMMEDIATELY, THEN EVENTUALLY ENGAGES SUDDENLY WITH A LURCH. I HAVE READ ON-LINE THAT THIS PARTICULAR TRANSMISSION IS KNOWN TO BE TROUBLESOME. BTW, DATE IS 2003, THE FORM ISN'T UPDATED YET.

Owner report 736758 · 2000-11-22 (November 22, 2000)

WHEN ITHIS WILL BE THE THIRD REPLACEMENT FOR THE TRANSMISSION. THE FIRST TIME ST 46,000 THEN AT 79,023 AND NOW AT 126,000 THIS TIME IT IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF THE VEHICLE , WE FIRST LEASED THE CAR THEN WHEN THE LEASE WAS UP I PURCHSED THE VEHICLE. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY I HAVE TO KEEP REPLACNG THE TRANSMISSION. I CALL MAZDA CUSTOMER SERICE AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. WOULD THIS FALL UNDER THE LEMON LAW? I HAVE HAD A CAR WITH OVER 150,000 MILES AND NEVER HAD PROBLEMS AND ANOTHER WHERE THE …

Owner report 10082497 · 2004-07-23 (July 23, 2004)

STOPPED AT A CONVIENCE STORE, LEFT THE CAR RUNNING BUT TURNED OFF THE HEADLIGHTS. RETURNED TO THE VEHICLE, OPENED THE DOOR, SAT DOWN IN THE DRIVERS SET AND REACHED OVER TO TURN ON THE HEADLIGHTS. BOTH AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG SMACKED ME IN THE FACE, WHILE THE PASSENGER AIR BAG DEPLOYED AND PUSHED THE PLASTIC FACE PIECE INTO THE WINDSHIELD, BRAKING THE WINDSHIELD AND FORCING THE REAR VIEW MIRROR OFF THE WINDSHIELD. BOTH SIDES OF THE HEADLINER ARE PULLED LOOSE.

Owner report 10659695 · 2014-11-20 (November 20, 2014)

MAZDA MX6 BRAKES ENGAGED WHILE ON A BRIDGE CAUSING THE CAR TO SKID INTO THE CENTER MEDIAN WALL. UPON THE IMPACT MY MOUTH HIT THE STEERING WHEEL AND BUSTED MY LIPS OPEN, THE AIRBAG THEN DEPLOYED CAUSING MY HEAD TO BE SLAMMED AGAINST THE HEADREST WHILE A BURST OF HOARD GAGGING SMOKE/DUST, PARTICLES, WERE EMITTED. IN A GASP OF TERROR AND FEAR THAT I MAY DIE FROM SUFFOCATION FROM THE CAR FILLED SMOKE/DUST FROM THE AIRBAG I KICKED THE DRIVER DOOR OPENED AND ROLLED OUT ONTO THE GROUND GASPING FOR AIR AND LAID THERE UNTIL AN AMBULANCE ARRIVED. THE …

WHILE DRIVING, I NOTICED A SYNTHETIC BURNING ODOR AND ALSO SAW THAT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL HAD LOST POWER. A MAZDA TECHNICIAN EXAMINED THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRING AND FOUND THAT A CIRCUIT HAD BEEN OVERLOADED AND PART OF THE CIRCUIT BOARD HAD BURN MARKS.*AK
