During normal driving conditions going down a state highway, the vehicle lost speed with adaptive cruise control enabled. Noticing the vehicle was losing speed, I depressed the accelerator pedal. The accelerator pedal was unresponsive and unable to accelerate, I had to maneuver off the highway. Luckily, the car behind my vehicle was far enough behind me and my vehicle was going fast enough that I was able to coast to a safe stop on the side of the highway. Gear shift can easily slide from Drive to Neutral (and from Neutral to Reverse) if a book, purse, or other object is on the center console and slides forward and touches the gearshift when vehicle comes to a stop. Photos attached show me shifting from D to N with my pinky finger. This is a safety problem because if the center console is flat, making it easy for someone to place an object on it. We called the dealer to have the recall taken care of. We were told that they were not sure if the part would be in in time for the date that they had set to do the fix. HOWEVER, the dealer also told us that we would be secondary to the fix vs their current on the lot inventory that they want to fix to sell! THEN, we will be able to have the required fix as there is availability of the part. Stopped at a red light on a busy 2-lane road. I-stop function turned the engine off. When the light turned green, releasing the brake caused a "Hybrid Battery Malfunction" error and the engine failed to start. We put the transmission in park and attempted to turn off and turn on the car with the push to start button. When we attempted to start the car with the push to start button, the car would not start. While driving (less than 2000 miles on the OD) in our 2024 cx90 SE the vehicle started to shift out of timing and everything shut off at once. The vehicle lost all power and all parts shut down. The vehicle would start back up and power steering went out. Our driving speed was at 30mph so it was extremely scary during rush hour traffic. We had to have it towed to the dealership, we're not sure what the issue will be.
