1. Initial Symptom: Strong fuel smell in passenger compartment and trunk. Investigation by Maserati specialist: fuel leaking from top plastic component of fuel pump, fuel stains down side of metal fuel tank, accumulation of fuel in trunk spare tire compartment below fuel tank. 2. Temporary Repair: Plastic fuel pump component was re-bonded using Locktite 406 as recommended by Locktite corporate chemist. Leak reoccurred within 2 years. 3. ALL RUBBER/PLASTIC PARTS ON ENTIRE DASHBOARD AND STEERING WHEEL ARE MELTING OFF. THIS IS A HUGE CONCERN AND I HOPE TO MAKE THE OEM AWARE OF IT AND COME UP WITH A SOLUTION.
