THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V341000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC) AND STATED THAT THE PARTS NEEDED FOR THE REPAIR WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.

I WAS RECENTLY INVOLVED IN A CAR CRASH. HAD MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND MY VEHICLE BARELY STOPPED OR SLOWED DOWN AND I ENDED UP HITTING ANOTHER VEHICLE HEAD ON. I WAS NOT FORMALLY INFORMED BY TOYOTA OR LEXUS ABOUT THIS BRAKE RECALL UNTIL MY AUTO INSURANCE CARRIER SENT ME A REPORT VALUING MY VEHICLE AS IT HAS NOW BECOME A TOTAL LOSS.

I PURCHASED A BRAND NEW LEXUS NX200T F SPORT AWD ON JUNE 16, 2015 AT 145 MILES. ON JUNE 18, 2015, A FRIEND SUGGESTED THAT I TOOK THE CAR FOR A LONGER HIGHWAY TEST DRIVE AND DISCOVERED THE CAR IS STEERING OFF TO THE RIGHT ON HIGHWAY 15 FROM LAS VEGAS, NV TO PRIMM, NV. I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AND RETURNED THE VEHICLE. ON JUNE 22, LEXUS OF LAS VEGAS CALLED AND SAID THAT THEY HAVE REPLACED LOWER CONTROL ARM AND SAID THAT THE ALIGNMENT IS WITHIN RANGE. ON JUNE 23, I RETURNED THE VEHICLE AND COMPLAINING THE CAR IS STILL STEERING OFF TO THE RIG…

MY BRAND NEW NX200T CONSTANTLY PULLS TO THE RIGHT. WHILE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS WHEN COMMUTING TO WORK I CONSTANTLY HAVE TO KEEP PRESSURE ON MY STEERING WHEEL PULLING IT LEFT IN ORDER TO KEEP MY CAR GOING IN A STRAIGHT LINE ON ANY ROAD. I HAVE BEEN TO THE DEALER TWO TIMES AND BOTH TIMES THEY HAVE TOLD ME IT'S THE WAY THE CAR IS. THEY BLAME ON TORQUE STEER BUT THIS ALWAYS VEERS TO THE RIGHT UNDER ACCELERATION OR NOT. IT'S MUCH WORSE UNDER ACCELERATION BUT IT'S ALWAYS DRIFTING TO THE RIGHT. WHEN I ASKED THEM TO CHECK ALIGNMENT THEY HAD AN ISSUE …

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 LEXUS NX200. WHILE STATIONARY, THE VEHICLE INDEPENDENTLY SHIFTED OUT OF PARK AND STRUCK THE CONTACT. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THERE WAS ONE INJURY THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LOWER CALF, ANKLE, AND BOTH FEET WERE RUN OVER ALONG WITH BRUISES AND BLISTERS ON BOTH LEGS. THERE WAS ALSO NUMBNESS TO THE LEFT LEG. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT PROVIDED.
