Owner report 10306110 · 2010-02-04 (February 4, 2010)

I PURCHASED A LEXUS HS250 IN OCTOBER 2009. SINCE THEN, I HAVE EXPERIENCED AT LEAST 6 OCCASIONS FROM THE END OF OCTOBER 2009 TO EARLY FEBRUARY 2010 IN WHICH I BRAKED WITH THE INTENTION OF COMING TO A STOP. THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SLOW DOWN IN THE BRAKING PROCESS, THEN THE BRAKES STALLED FOR A FEW SECONDS BEFORE RESUMING THE BRAKING ACTION. IT IS UNEXPECTED AND DANGEROUS BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW IF YOUR BRAKES ARE COMPLETELY STALLING OR NOT. FOR A COUPLE OF SECONDS, EVERYTHING JUST GIVES WAY BEFORE THE BRAKES SEEM TO BEGIN WORKING AGAIN. IN THAT S…

Owner report 11354094 · 2020-09-10 (September 10, 2020)

I AM THE SECOND OWNER OF THIS LEXUS HS250 PURCHASED 7/2020 IT HAD A RECALLED HYBRID TRANSAXLE REPLACED 7/2018, BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER. HOWEVER ON 8/11/2020 UPON STARTING THE CAR AND DRIVING JUST 4000 THE HYBRID BATTERY FAILED AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I HAVE READ THAT THE PREVIOUS RECALL IS TO BLAME FOR THE HYBRID BATTERY FAILING PREMATURELY AND SHORT CIRCUITING THIS BATTERY REPLACEMENT SHOULD ALSO BE COVERED BY THE MANUFACTURER.

Owner report 11700444 · 2025-11-19 (November 19, 2025)

Pre Collision System light on dash, abs lights, traction lights etc Error Code C1391which requires a Brake Booster pump AND a Brake booster pump kit due to a MALFUNCTION which should be manufacturers responsibility. They launched a customer support program for a very short period (you had to have the error during this short time) and EXCLUDED all HS250h from the Secondary Coverage period by noting expiry if vehicle is over 10years which they were past that at the time of LAUNCHING THE CUSTOMER SUPPORT PROGRAM which is completely unethical a…

Owner report 11280151 · 2019-11-14 (November 14, 2019)

ON 8/16/19, I WAS LEAVING FOR WORK, AND WENT TO REVERSE MY VEHICLE OUT OF GARAGE, DOWN INCLINED DRIVEWAY, FOUND OUT THAT THE BRAKES WERE COMPLETELY OUT ACCOMPANIED BY WARNING BEEPING RAPIDLY. THE POWER STEERING ALSO LOCKED UP. I WAS ABLE TO PUSH EMERGENCY BRAKE, WHICH DID STOP THE VEHICLE, I PUT IN CAR IN DRIVE AND WENT FORWARD INTO GARAGE AND PUSHED/LOCKED EMERGENCY BRAKE AGAIN TO STORE VEHICLE IN GARAGE ON FLAT SURFACE. CAR WAS TOWED TO LOCAL TOYOTA (LEXUS CERTIFIED) SERVICE SHOP. DIAGNOSTIC SHOWED THAT ABS MASTER CYLINDER NEEDED REPAIR, ONCE…

Owner report 11562217 · 2023-12-28 (December 28, 2023)

A week ago I started hearing a clunking noise in the steering column. It would also clunk near the front left wheel when I turned steering wheel. I was told I need to replace the rack and pinion steering, tie rods, and steering shaft. This is a very expensive repair. My 2010 HS250h only has 98,000 miles. I have never-ever had to replace the rack and pinion steering in any car! (Nor has anyone I know.) I believe this is a serious safety issue, especially since there were no warning lights to alert me of this problem. I am totally shocked that th…

Fuel leak in fuel pump caused my car to completely stop on the highway. No warning lights came on. Lexus company denies that my car was not part of the recall for the fuel pumps on the Lexus HS250 even though multiple issues reported for the fuel pump for this make an model,
