TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 KTM 1190 ADVENTURE MOTORCYCLE. WHILE DRIVING 65 TO 70 MPH, THE MOTORCYCLE STALLED. THE MOTORCYCLE WAS TAKEN TO WOODSTOCK KTM (2235 SOUTH EAST WOOD DRIVE, WOODSTOCK , IL 60098, [phone removed]) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL TANK WAS FAULTY. THE FUEL TANK WAS REPLACED AND THE MOTORCYCLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE MANANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE MOTORCYCLE WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000.

The contact owns a 2016 KTM 1190 Adventure R. While riding the motorcycle, the fuel tank became excessively hot. While attempting to cool down the motorcycle and release the built-up pressure in the fuel tank, the contact rode the motorcycle for approximately 10 miles and then pulled into a gas station to refuel. Due to the extreme heat and a suspected malfunctioning or blocked venting system, the fuel tank expanded drastically to hold an extra 2 gallons of fuel.
