TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 KIA SEDONA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP, THE VEHICLE SURGED WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. A RAPID INCREASE IN THE RPMS ALSO OCCURRED DURING THE MALFUNCTION. THERE WERE NO INJURIES REPORTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE FUEL INJECTOR WAS CLEANED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED FOR THE MOST RECENT FAILURE. I WAS DRIVING THE 2014 KIA SORENTO ON US27 IN CINCINNATI, OHIO (55MPH ZONE) AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE VEHICLE SLOWED (I WASN'T PRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL) AND THE VEHICLE STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY ROADWAY. I HAD TO FLOOR THE GAS TO GET IT TO MOVE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROADWAY. THERE WAS A ODOR OF SOMETHING BURNING WHEN I FINALLY GOT OUT OF THE ROAD. THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED DURING THE TIME. THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED TO A LOCAL KIA DEALER. THEY SAID IT HAD 5 MAJOR CODES ON DIAGNOSTIC, THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM TH…

YESTERDAY BOTH FRONT TURN SIGNALS STOPPED WORKING, TODAY WHEN I TURNED ON CAR I GOT A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND THE HORN STOPPED WORKING. AND NOTICED WHEN I TOOK IT IN TO THE AUTOZONE TO HAVE IT CHECKED THE FRONT LIGHTS WEREN'T WORKING. LESS THAN A MONTH AGO THE PUMP FOR THE WINDSHIELD WIPER FLUID QUIT WORKING. I HAVE MANUAL SEATS IN THE CAR. I FOUND A RECALL ON THE WIRING HARNESS BUT THAT DIDN'T ENCOMPASS THE 2014 MODELS

PARKED ON STREET, WENT TO START VEHICLE AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. HAD PASSENGER LOOK UNDERNEATH AFTER TESTING BATTERY CHARGE AND OTHER ELECTRICAL FUNCTION. TRIED TO START AGAIN. THE STARTER WAS THROWING SPARKS. FOUND OUT THE STARTER WAS BAD. HAVE A NEW PART ON ORDER AT A PRICETAG OF $220 WITH 94,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE.

RECENTLY I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS PLACING THE VEHICLE IN PARK. I PRESS THE SIDE BUTTON, BUT AM UNABLE TO SHIFT INTO THE PARK POSITION. NOW, I AM UNABLE TO PLACE IN PARK, AND MUST SHUT THE CAR OFF IN NEUTRAL. DOING SO MEANS I AM UNABLE TO REMOVE THE KEYS FROM THE IGNITION. THE VEHICLE WAS MOTIONLESS AND MY FOOT WAS FIRMLY ON THE BRAKES. THIS COULD BECOME A MAJOR PROBLEM, NOT ONLY IN THEFTS, BUT ANYWHERE IN PUBLIC THAT YOU MUST PARK IT.

WE WERE TRAVELING FROM BLOOMSBURG, PA TO MYRTLE BEACH, SC ON DECEMBER 26, 2019 AND AS WE WERE PULLING OFF THE ROAD TO FIND A GAS STATION THE ENGINE TURNED OFF/STOPPED WORKING AND WE LOST THE POWER STEERING. LUCKILY MY HUSBAND WAS ABLE TO SAFELY PULL OFF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND STOP IN A SAFE AREA. AT THAT TIME THE ENGINE SMOKED AND WE CHECKED ALL THE FLUIDS. THE OIL APPEARED TO BE LOW BUT NO INDICATOR LIGHTS CAME ON PRIOR. WE PROCEEDED TO GET OIL AND AFTER WE PUT IT IN AND TRIED TO DRIVE IT THERE WAS A LOUD KNOCKING SOUND SO WE DID NOT PRO…
