There is a structural issue where the hinges from the tailgate attaches to the body. I believe my tailgate alignment issue happened during assembly and has happened to others. More important if the tailgate is opened when car is not completely level when try to close the tailgate shifts and reopens since it cannot close as designed. I have informed Kia America in Irvine, Ca with a letter to the CEO over 3 weeks ago but no response. I followed up with a certified letter that was received by them but again no response. This is a safety structural…

While driving with the hatch open, while carrying objects to long to place in car, (The drive was less than one mile and yes I had a red flag on my kayaks) I was driving in what is called 1Pedal driving. When coming to a stop light unbeknownst to me the emergency brakes (Parking brake) automatically comes on. I was unable to continue in drive until manually unlocking parking brake, but it took me a minute to figure out what was the issue. During this time I was blocking traffic till I figured the work around. This undoubtedly a software gl…

The issue is essentially EXACTLY like this article: https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a44272155/2022-hyundai-ioniq-5-nhtsa-investigation/ We heard a semi-loud pop that appeared to come from the rear of the vehicle. Approximately 5-15 seconds later, we got a notice that the electric system needed to be diagnosed. We were only a block from the house, traveling at low speeds, and did not experience a complete loss of power. However, the system started giving additional alerts (I do not remember the exact phrasing) related to stopping the vehicle …

12-volt battery is not being properly charged while driving. once resulting in loss of power while moving (thankfully still in our driveway) requiring a jump start, and twice when parked which forced us to have to break into (airbag the door) the vehicle to get the trunk open and jump start. It seems to lose 12-volt battery charge if not driving for a few days requiring us to leave it unlocked if we are not using it over the weekend for example. There have been no warning indicators or other warning prior to this occurring. I was in an accid…
