TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 KAWASAKI CONCOURS 14 MOTORCYCLE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 12V343000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN EXPLAINED THAT THEY WOULD HAVE TO EVALUATE THE SPACE BETWEEN THE BRAKE PEDAL AND GUARD BEFORE PERFORMING THE REPAIR. THE CONTACT STATED THE RECALL INDICATED THE REPLACEMENT OF THE REAR MASTER CYLINDER AND DOES NOT MENTION AN EVALUATION. THE CONTACT WANTED THE PART REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. TL* THE CONTACT OWN A 2009 KAWASAKI CONCOURS 14. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH THE VEHICLE FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE ABS SYSTEM FAILED. THERE WAS A RECALL UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 12V343000( SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC , STRUCTURE ) WHICH ACCORDING TO THE MANUFACTURER IS NOT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 16,500.
