Traveling in heavy morning traffic in inside lane at approximately 25mph, engine suddenly lost power with simultaneous ‘Shift to Park’ error message and brief flash of amber warning light on instrument panel. Vehicle would not accelerate when gas pedal pressed, engine only revved. Driver (myself) had to slam on brakes and quickly put car in P then back to D in order to get car to accelerate forward, narrowly avoiding multi-car collision from behind. New car after 1000 miles when I put it in reverse to back up the car, once I press down the brake pedal it making loud dada tapping noise, I brought it back to dealership 3 times and never been fixed, 2nd time they change the front rotors and noise is gone for 5 days, then tapping noise back again, some times when on D driving mode when slow down on traffic light speed down to 5-10mph, some time can hear that noise too. The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle independently shifted into manual(M) mode without warning. While stopping at a light, the car will just stall. While driving, the car will stall. This is all a safety issue, especially at night when the car stalls and you have no lights or any way for anybody to see you.

Heated steering wheel suddenly became too hot with no adjustment option. Minor burning on hands. Turned off the function. Driver heated seat suddenly became too hot, turned down to low but still too hot, caused burns requiring medical attention.

Battery went dead after 4 days of being parked. Preceded by car not charging fully after driving. Dealer had to replace battery at 60,000 miles with no other fault detected. After market battery did not fix problem. Needed to be replaced by OEM battery. Still noticed not charging fully after driving. High current drain while off and parked detected. In late November 2023 I noticed my fuel economy dropping a lot, from 27-29mpg to 22-24mpg. And, soon tailpipes were accumulating a lot of soot in tailpipes and soot was coming out of end of muffler. I took to JEEP dealer in Palestine, TX. See invoice uploaded. Service advisor couldn't find any bad codes. He wrote some guesses as to source/cause of problem & suggested using more expensive, higher grade of gasoline. He said to try some catalytic converter cleaner, also. The vehicle stalled at a busy intersection during heavy traffic hours. No watnings or signs that could've prevented the incident were indicated by the vehicle. 911 was called in to aid in the traffic incident. Call [XXX] from Laredo Police department.
