The rear bunk end door on this 2017 Jayco Jay Feather X17Z hybrid travel trailer does not fully latch or lock while traveling at highway speeds due to a known widespread manufacturing defect. Jayco factory installed canvas retainer strips with no pre-drilled holes and no washers causing the plastic retainer strip to crack and fail. This caused the entire rear bunk end frame to shift out of alignment making it impossible for the door latch to fully engage while towing at highway speeds.
