AT FREEWAY SPEED, WHILE TOWING A HONDA BEHIND THE 2004 ITASCA 38 FT. MOTORHOME, THE ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, POWER STEERING POWER BRAKES AND ALL ELECTRONICS SPONTANWOUSLY FAILED. WITH SIGNIFICANT EFFORT, THE VEHICLE WAS MOVED OUT OF TRAFFIC AND STOPPED. NO INJURIES RESULTED, HOWEVER UNDER DIFFERENT CONDITIONS SUCH AS A CURVE OR GRADE THE RESULTS COULD HAVE BEEN FATAL. The contact owns a 2015 Itasca Sunstar 36Y built on a 2014 Ford F-59 chassis. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the driver’s side window exploded, and the shattered pieces were propelled inside the vehicle. There were no injuries sustained. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS 2019 ITASCA SUNSTAR. THE CONTACT STATED HER HUSBAND WAS DRIVING 70 MPH WHEN THE VEHICLE STARTED TO SWING FROM SIDE TO SIDE. WE TOOK OUR FIRST TRIP TO THE VERDE VALLEY BETWEEN 9/7/13 AND 9/9/13. WE FOUND THAT IT WAS DIFFICULT TO KEEP THE VEHICLE IN THE LANE, ESPECIALLY WHEN DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS OR WINDY CONDITIONS. AFTER THAT TRIP, WE CONTACTED THE DEALER AND WERE ADVISED TO HAVE THE VEHICLE ALIGNED AND TIRES BALANCED. WHICH WE DID AND WE ALSO ADDED A STABILIZER BAR TO THE FRONT.
