The contact stated that a driver was driving the company vehicle, and as he approached a traffic signal, he reported that the brakes had failed and the speed was unknown. The contact stated that the driver managed to turn the vehicle to the right off of the roadway to avoid cross traffic and went down a slight embankment. AFTER DRIVING TRUCK 5 MILES PARKED IT FOR 30 MINUTES STARTED IT BACKED UP AND NOTICED NO POWER STEERING AND LOSS OF TRACTION CONTROL VIA WARNING LIGHT AND OBVIOUS INTENSE EFFORT TO NOT HIT THE ADJACENT WALLS. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AT IDLE SPEED. TURNED OFF VEHICLE AND RESTARTED BUT PROBLEM PERSISTED.
