Owner report 10899628 · 2016-08-30 (August 30, 2016)
WENT TO START CAR AND DEPRESSED PUSH START BUTTON AND THE CAR WOULD NOT START. A YELLOW KEY SYMBOL AND RED CAR SYMBOL WITH A KEY INSIDE APPEARED IN THE DASH, BUT NO OTHER LIGHTS IN THE DASH CAME ON, NOR DID THE RADIO. CONTACTED THE DEALER AND ATTEMPTED TO PUT THE KEY IN THE SLOT, CHANGE THE KEY FOB BATTERY AND JUMPSTART THE CAR, BUT THE CAR WOULD NOT START. TOWED THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE STEERING LOCK ASSEMBLY WAS BAD AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.

THE STEERING LOCK UNIT FAILED ON MY INFINITI G25X. IT WAS WAS STATIONARY AT A GROCERY STORE AND WHEN I CAME OUT IT WOULD NOT START SO I HAD IT TOWED TO INFINITI OF LYNNWOOD. I SEE THEIR WAS A RECALL ON THIS PART BY NISSAN BUT INFINITI REFUSED TO HONOR IT EVEN THOUGH IT'S THE SAME PART. INFINITI HAS A GREAT SCAM GOING AS ONLY THE DEALERSHIP CAN FIX THIS PROBLEM SO THEY CHARGE OUTRAGEOUS PRICES. $2,264.14 IS WHAT THE INFINITI DEALERSHIP WANTS TO FIX THIS. PLEASE HELP.

AFTER NORMAL USE, AND WITH NO WARNING INDICATIONS, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START AFTER BEING PARKED. IT WAS OBSERVED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL FAILED TO LOCK, AND THE INTELLIGENT KEY INDICATOR ILLUMINATED FROM THE DASH WHEN THE PUSH-BUTTON IGNITION WAS PRESSED. ACCORDING TO THE 2011 INFINITI G OWNER'S MANUAL, WHEN THE INTELLIGENT KEY INDICATOR LIGHT APPEARS, IT INDICATES A MALFUNCTION WITH THE ELECTRICAL STEERING LOCK SYSTEM OR THE INTELLIGENT KEY SYSTEM INDICATOR. THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED TO THE INFINITI DEALER, AND THE DEFECTIVE STEERING LO…

Owner report 11468786 · 2022-06-11 (June 11, 2022)
I was having gas mileage issues and had an engine light come on one day. I checked it for it to come up with mass air flow sensor code. I had them replaced. Once I replaced them I noticed I still had the light and mileage issues. I did some research and found out you need to reprogram the sensors at a dealership after replacement. I scheduled an appointment at Infiniti of Akron and they reprogrammed them. I left and a couple hours of driving later the acceleration is worse and mileage is bad. The engine light comes back on. I call back they che…
