THE STEERING LOCK BOX STOPPED WORKING, AND THE CAR COULD NOT BE STARTED. WE SAW THAT NISSAN ALREADY HAS A CAMPAIGN ON THE SISTER CARS. FOR THIS ISSUE. I BELIEVE THE INVOLVES THE VERY SAME PART.THE CAR CAN NOT BE OPERATED WITH THIS ISSUE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 INFINITI EX35. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO HOLMAN INFINITI (577 NJ-38, MAPLE SHADE TOWNSHIP, NJ 08062) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING LOCK BOX NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 82,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 INFINITI EX35. THE CONTACT STOPPED THE VEHICLE AND PLACED THE GEAR IN REVERSE, BUT THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE FORWARD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO A LOCAL DEALER. THE DEALER CONFIRMED THE TRANSMISSION FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 64,000.
