TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HYOSUNG GV650 MOTORCYCLE. THE CONTACT STATED THERE WAS AN OVERPOWERING SMELL OF GASOLINE AND DISCOVERED THE FUEL TANK WAS FRACTURED AT THE SEAMS. THE DEALER REPLACED THE FUEL TANK TWICE TO CORRECT THE FAILURE BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED TO RECUR. THE MANUFACTURER WOULD NOT PROVIDE ANY ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 1,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 4,149.

UNITED MOTORS MOTORCYCLE MODEL V2C650S. CONSUMER REQUESTS REIMBURSEMENT DUE TO DEFECTS *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED THE MOTORCYCLE HAS BEEN PARKED DUE TO A DEFECTIVE GAS TANK THAT LEAKED AT THE SEAMS AND DEFECTIVE WORKMANSHIP OF THE ELECTRIC STARTER WHEN THE SLIGHTEST AMOUNT OF MOISTURE CAME INTO CONTACT WITH IT. WHICH ULTIMATELY CAUSED THE STARTER TO STOP WORKING. *JB

THIS VEHICLE HAS A RECALL FOR THE SAME PROBLEM (STALLING AT FREEWAY SPEEDS). I HAD THE RECALL WORK DONE AND THIS VEHICLE SUBSEQUENTLY STALLED OR THREATENED TO STALL AT FREEWAY SPEEDS. ON THE DATE LISTED BELOW, I WAS RIDING ON THE FREEWAY AT FREEWAY SPEEDS WHEN THE VEHICLE STALLED. I WAS FORTUNATE AND ABLE TO GET TO THE MEDIAN AND UNABLE TO START THE BIKE. IF OTHER DRIVERS WERE NOT PAYING ATTENTION, MY SUDDEN DROP IN SPEED WOULD HAVE RESULTED IN A CRASH, SINCE I DID NOT USE MY BRAKES AND PROVIDE A WARNING OF THE SLOWDOWN. THIS BIKE HAD PREV…
