I OWN A 1998 HOLIDAY RAMBLER, CLASS A MOTORHOME, PURCHASED NEW, BUILT ON A CHEVROLET CHASSIS. ON A RECENT TRIP I EXPERIENCED BRAKE FAILURE WHILE TRAVELING. HIS COULD HAVE RESULTED IN A CATASTROPHIC SITUATION, BUT FORTUNATELY DID NOT. ACCORDING TO THE MECHANIC WHO REPAIRED THE VEHICLE, THE BRAKE FLUID OVERHEATED. I BELIEVE THAT THE PLACEMENT OF THE BRAKE FLUID RESEVOIR HELPED CONTRIBUTE TO THE FAILURE. ON THIS VEHICLE THE RESEVOIR IS INBOARD OF THE DRIVER-SIDE FRONT WHEEL, BETWEEN THE CHASSIS AND THE ENGINE, WHERE HEAT FROM THE ENGINE CAN AFFE…

on cruise control at 70mph starting uphill as speed decreases transmission will shift to a lower gear as it should. almost immediatly speed control shuts throttle down to idle causing drastic loss of speed. In heavy traffic this is a danger to following traffic as it is as if I am coming to an abrupt stop. FMCo manufacturing says so what, take cotrol of your vehicle manually. This is an option but no where in manual that in writing this will happen. Dealers have no knowledge of this problem. FMCo thinks throttle doing this is great. To my knowl…

THE UNIT HAS BEEN FALLING APART SINCE WE PURCHASED IT. THE MAIN ISSUES ARE WITH THE COACH PORTION. BROKEN CABINETS, PLUMBING LEAKS, ELECTRICAL ISSUES, BUT THE COACH HAS A LIST WHICH GROWS WITH EVERY USE. THE MANUFACTURER HAS BUILT A POOR PRODUCT AND THE DEALER HAS HAD LITTLE OR NO EFFECT IN CORRECTING THE ISSUES. IT TAKES MANY MONTHS OF WAITING FOR A PHONE CALL TO HEAR OF ORDERED PARTS OR BACK ORDERED PARTS ONLY TO FINALLY SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT FOR SERVICE. EACH TIME WE SPEAK WITH A COLTON RV REPRESENTATIVE, OUR SITUATION IS NEW TO THEM,…
