Owner report 10578439 · 2014-04-09 (April 9, 2014)

I PURCHASED THIS MOTORCYCLE ON 1/17/2014. ON 1/18/2014 I TOOK THIS VEHICLE FOR A RIDE. THE FRONT BRAKES OPERATED BUT HAD VERY LITTLE DEFLECTION OR MOVEMENT FROM THE BRAKE LEVER. THE FRONT BRAKE LEVER WAS EXTREMELY HARD TO PULL. I CONTACTED THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THIS WAS NORMAL. I CONTINUED TO RIDE THE VEHICLE AND I NOTICED THAT NOT ONLY WERE THE BRAKES HARD TO ENGAGE, THEY ALSO WOULD NOT HOLD AT RED LIGHTS. I THEN BROUGHT THIS TO THE ATTENTION OF THE DEALER AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE HMU HAD A STICKING VALVE AND THAT IT NEEDED TO BE REPLA…

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 HARLEY-DAVIDSON FLHP STREET GLIDE. WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH, THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THE HAND BRAKES TO STOP THE MOTORCYCLE. THE BRAKES FAILED AND THE MOTORCYCLE CRASHED INTO A BUILDING. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE MOTORCYCLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKES FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 38,000.

Owner report 10884350 · 2016-07-12 (July 12, 2016)

THE SHIFT LINKAGE ROD THAT CONNECTS THE FOOT SHIFT LEVER TO THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT ROD LEVER HAD THE SPLINES STRIPPED WHICH MEANT THAT WHEN I WAS COMING TO A STOP I WAS NO LONGER IN CONTROL OF THE MOTORCYCLE BECAUSE I COULD NOT SHIFT GEARS. THE MOTORCYCLE WAS NEARLY BRAND NEW, HAVING LESS THAN 15K MILES ON IT, AND IT HAS BEEN PROPERLY MAINTAINED. ALL TORQUE VALUES WERE CORRECT AND THE LINKAGE ROD WAS REPLACED ONCE I WAS ABLE TO GET THE MOTORCYCLE TO A DEALER. PART NUMBER 15 WHERE IT CONNECTS TO PART NUMBER 16 IN THE ATTACHED DOCUMENT.

Owner report 10234668 · 2008-07-17 (July 17, 2008)

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHUNFENG HOLDING GROUP TORINO SCOOTER (NA). WHENEVER THE CONTACT DOES NOT USE THE SCOOTER FOR 24 HOURS, THE BATTERY BECOMES COMPLETELY DRAINED. WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED, THE VEHICLE STOPS ACCELERATING AND IMMEDIATELY SHUTS OFF. THE FAILURE OCCURS EVERYTIME THE VEHICLE IS DRIVEN AND EVER SINCE IT WAS PURCHASED. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED BY THE DEALER. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 500 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 9.

Owner report 10331517 · 2010-05-21 (May 21, 2010)

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 HARLEY DAVIDSON ROAD GLIDE MOTORCYCLE (NA). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STEERING WAS DIFFICULT TO CONTROL AND WOULD INTERMITTENTLY PULL FROM SIDE TO SIDE WHEN ATTEMPTING A TURN. HE STATED THAT THE FRONT FORK HAD NOT BEEN MODIFIED AND WAS PREVENTING THE VEHICLE FROM STAYING IN A STRAIGHT LINE. THE DEALER TOOK THE VEHICLE FOR A TEST DRIVE BUT WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THEY COULD NOT ASSIST BECAUSE THERE WERE NO FAILURE FOUND WITHIN THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILU…
