ABS BRAKES ENGAGED WITH NO WARNING AT LOW SPEEDS (PARKING LOTS, STOP SIGNS, DRIVE THROUHS) AND GREATLY INCREASED THE STOPPING DISTANCE AND SAFETY. THE SPEED SENSOR FAILS AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 6 AND 9 MPG; RESULTING IN NO OR LIMITED ABILITY TO BRAKE. REPEATED NEAR ACCIDENTS HAVE OCCURRED IN TRAFFIC AND IN PARKING SITUATIONS. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 GMC YUKON DENALI. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STALLED AND SHUT OFF. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO PULL THE VEHICLE ONTO THE SHOULDER AND HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE FUEL PRESSURE PUMP AND ECM WERE DIAGNOSED AS THE CAUSES OF THE FAILURE. THE DEALER REPLACED THE FUEL DELIVERY PUMP AND FUSES AT THE COST OF $850.26. A REPORT WAS FILED WITH THE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE FUEL SYSTEM RECALL.
