TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC SILVERADO. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN AUTO GARAGE FOR AN OIL CHANGE AND TIRE ROTATION AND WAS INFORMED THAT BOTH FRONT DISCS, THE BRAKE LINING, AND ROTORS WERE WORN. HE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER IN NOVEMBER OF 2007 FOR INSPECTION AND FELT THAT THIS FAILURE SHOULD HAVE BEEN DETECTED AT THAT TIME. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 5,500.

I PURCHASED A NEW BANKS ELECTRONIC SPEED BRAKE PN 55445 WITH SELECTOR SWITCH, FIRMWARE REV. 555431-05-02, SERIAL # SAA40615284 AND INSTALLED IT ON OUR GMC 2500 HD PICKUP PER SUPPLIED INSTRUCTIONS. SHORTLY AFTER INSTALLATION IT BEGAN CAUSING THE ALLISON 6 SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION TO RANDOMLY GO INTO NEUTRAL WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. I WOULD HAVE TO PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND STOP, PUT THE TRANSMISSION IN PARK AND BACK INTO DRIVE TO RESET THE PROBLEM AND RESUME DRIVING.
