Owner report 10970415 · 2017-04-04 (April 4, 2017)

MY 2017 GMC 2500 SIERRA DENALI DURAMAX HAS HAD THIS THROTTLE ISSUE, IT SEEMS TO ONLY DO IT WHEN THE EXHAUST STINKS, AND AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 5 - 55 MPH. IF I TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR THE TRUCK MAINTAINS RPM (1200 - 1400) OR EVEN HAS INCREASED SOME AND HAS LASTED 2 - 5 SECONDS (ESTIMATED AND GREATLY REDUCES THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE BRAKING CAPACITY AND RESPONSIVENESS/STOPPING DISTANCE). WORST WAS WITH A HUGE TRAILER BEHIND AND I GOT UP TO SPEED 55 ON COUNTY HWY 8, AND I LET OFF THE ACCELERATOR AND IT KEPT GOING HARD AND I GOT ON THE BRAKES …

TOOK TRUCK IN FOR FIRST OIL CHANGE.I HAD SEVERAL PROBLEMS INCLUDING THE BACK TIRES BEING OVER 50% WORN OUT. ALIGNMENT WAS OFF AND DEALER REPAIRED THAT AND ROTATED THE TIRES. NOW WHEN I STOP AT ABOUT 5 MPH THE TRUCK JUMPS. I REMOVED THE ABS FUSE AND PROBLEM GOES AWAY. DEALER STATES THERE IS NO WARRANTY ON TIRES EVEN IF THEY WEAR OUT IN 6000 MILES AND THE PROBLEM WAS THE VEHICLE WASN'T PUT TOGETHER PROPERLY THE FIRST TIME.IF THE ROADS WERE COVERED WITH SNOW I WOULD BE IN REAL TROUBLE.NORMAL HIGHWAY TRAVEL AROUND TOWN

Owner report 11466124 · 2022-05-25 (May 25, 2022)

We were at a restaurant with friends we got back into the vehicle. I started up the vehicle and several electrical things happened. The service trailer brakes message came up, then the service power steering message came on. The engine was running but the tachometer didn’t work, or the oil pressure gauge. A couple other warning lights on the dash were on and stayed on. When I put it in reverse it wouldn’t move. When I put it in drive it would move forward. So we were stuck in our parking spot. We decided to put it in neutral and two of us…

Owner report 11494173 · 2022-11-18 (November 18, 2022)

I was in an accident on October 20th 2022 while driving home. U had just reached the top of a sharp crest on a two way road. As I started to straighten out the wheels coming out of the turn I noticed my direction was still as if I was turning the wheel. I tried to brake and pressed the brake but it went to the floor and the truck kept going. I collided with the other vehicle and it was a miracle neither of us were seriously injured or killed. We had problem with the steering box about 2 years ago and had to have it towed to the dealership. The …

Owner report 11057875 · 2018-01-01 (January 1, 2018)

TRAVELING I-81 S IN MARYLAND, APPROXIMATELY MILE 290, ACCELERATOR STUCK IN FULL THROTTLE. I HAD ACCELERATED TO PASS A CAR, BUT THE ACCELERATOR WENT TO FULL THROTTLE, AND STUCK ON FULL ACCELERATION. I STAYED IN THE LEFT LANE, APPLIED BRAKES SPORADICALLY TO LIMIT THE INCREASED SPEED, AND QUICKLY HIT THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WITH MY FOOT AND IMMEDIATELY RELEASED SEVERAL TIMES TO TRY TO "BREAK" THE ACCELERATOR FREE. I DID THIS MULTIPLE TIMES WITH NO RESULTS UNTIL FINALLY, WHEN WE WERE AT 94 MPH, THE ACCELERATOR BROKE FREE, AND DISENGAGED. THE B…

The contact owns a 2017 GMC Sierra 2500. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle experienced a loss of power steering assist, and the brakes failed to stop the vehicle immediately. Owner report 11531177 · 2023-07-09 (July 9, 2023)

On December 29, 2022 I stopped at the bank for 2 minute and when I got back to my truck I noticed smoke coming out from under the hood. I immediately called 911 and luckily some nice people were able to get my hood up safely and the bank provided a fire extinguisher before the fire trucks arrived. It was engulfed in flames. The fireman said it appeared the fire started in the wiring at the engine. I had a recall fixed a while back for the engine block heater so I was worried maybe they didn’t repair the recall. A week after the fire I received …
