TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC SIERRA 2500. ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS WHILE DRIVING DOWNHILL AT 45 MPH, THE ROTORS BECAME WARPED AND BEGAN SMOKING. THE CONTACT SMELLED A BURNING ODOR. ON EACH OCCASION, THE DEALER COULD NOT FIND ANY FAILURES. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT HIS BRAKES WOULD FAIL WHILE DRIVING DOWN A HILL. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 24,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 22,000.

A PRESSURE LINE ON STEERING COOLER RUSTED THROUGH AND BLEW FLUID OUT ALL OVER GRILL AND BUMPER. MAKES ONE HELL OF A NOISE WITH NO FLUID IN PUMP. I WAS DRIVING 10 MPH WHEN IT HAPPENED AND HAD TO GO ABOUT 1/4 MILE TO PARK.

GENERAL MOTORS GMC SIERRA DURAMAX EQUIPPED PICK UP TRUCKS (LMM SERIES) HAVE AN ISSUE WITH LEAKING TRANSMISSION COOLING LINES WHERE THE RUBBER HOSES ARE CRIMPED TO THE STEEL CONNECTORS. THE PROBLEM IS A FIRE HAZARD DUE TO LEAKING TRANSMISSION FLUID. GM HAS ALREADY ISSUED REPLACEMENT OF THESE HOSES FOR THE 2008 MODEL YEAR. IN 2007 GM HAD A SPLIT YEAR OFFERING FOR THE DURAMAX. my 2007.5 GMC Duramax has been parked for 1 month, had to barrow a truck to go to work, just not willing to pay the 1600-4500 dollars that suppliers or private sellers are asking for the TCM, tried a private seller on EBAY and it turned out to be a scam, local Dealership has no clue on ETA, I use my truck 6 days out of the week and now sitting not being moved may cause other issue when I do finally get it going again, the problem with my durumax is the TCM Transmission Control Module, I was already at home when issue started.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 GMC SIERRA 2500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ALL OF THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS IN THE VEHICLE FAILED FOR APPROXIMATELY 10 MINUTES BEFORE FUNCTIONING PROPERLY.
