Check engine light came on at 458 miles. Took it in and after an hour they determined it was the ecm. They said it was bad. Now they're on the hunt for one. In the meantime, in a day the truck has started feeling like it's over shifting and then bogging down. 458 miles, really! I'm going to need a loaner for longer than I've had it and still make payments.

On 05/28/2022 my family was driving my brand new 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 3.0 Diesel at a rate of 60mph. There was suddenly a loud clunk (transmission) after proceeding a little further and getting speed back to 60mph there was a similar “clunk”… the diesel truck then immediately gained several various check engine / sensor lights all over the dash and went into Limp Mode. Truck drove as expected with no prior warnings. We pulled over for road snacks/drinks upon starting the truck we got a whole slew of warnings and warning lights. The warnings included:. Service ESC, Service Trailer Brake System, Service Brake Assist, Steering Assist is reduced Drive with care and finally Brake System Failure 43 MPH top speed. On June 8th I started my truck and it made a strange unfamiliar noise before starting. I thought it was bizarre. Shortly after I stopped in traffic and my truck stalled out. It stayed on but when I went to give it gas I didn’t move. So I restarted the engine and the same strange noise was made. Along with the noise I smelled something funny so I pulled into a gas station. Little did I know my truck was on fire. Electrical component- Dashboard is constantly glitching, blue-tooth will not connect properly, electrical appears to turn off randomly while driving to the point we have to pullover because it appears and feels like the truck is turning off. Power step running boards malfunction- They don't open or close when they are supposed to. Power step running boards also malfunction while driving. I purchased this vehicle to tow a 7,600 pound RV trailer with Electromagnetic brakes. This truck has an integrated brake controller. The truck keeps giving error messages: Check trailer wiring issues. Brakes not connected, etc. I have troubleshoot the trailer wiring and replaced most of it. I still have the issue. Online I see many people stating similar issues. Supposedly my truck has an error code associated with the brakes but dealer is of not help.

“Faulty fuel pump driver module” part Not available for inspection. Repaired at dealership and they kept the part. While driving 75 mph on the interstate during high traffic time my GMC Sierra 3.0 diesel truck engine shut completely down, not just once but on several occasions putting myself and three other in a life safety situation due to the traffic around us at the time. While driving on the road the vehicle started sputtering and stalled! We pulled to the side of the road and tried to start the car but it rolled and would not start. We called a a mechanic who had it towed and found out that the fuel pump and the fuel control board had failed. Both have been replaced and the truck seems to be working again. Heard several other persons had this issue with their GCM Sierra Elevation so we wanted to report since there is currently no recall.
