The contact's mother owned a 2021 Genesis GV80. The contact stated that while her mother was driving into a parking space at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal was depressed but the vehicle experienced unintended acceleration. The vehicle drove over a field and into oncoming traffic before crashing into another vehicle. No warning light was illuminated. Only the front driver's side air bag was deployed. The brakes failed at about 25mph. My car collided into the car in front of me. After several attempts to pump the brakes they never re-engaged to stop the vehicle.

Left LED Headlamps & intergral camera sensor assembly has failed due to moisture penetration behind the lenses. In addition to no left headlamps or left front turn signal, we have lost the emergency braking, forward collision warning, the lane departure warning and the lane keeping assistance features. Service advisor has advised on 01/08/24 that this is a common problem & parts are not readily available.

While driving at low speeds (less than 50mph) the Forward Collision Warning randomly activates. Sometimes its just a warning and sometimes its a warning and forced braking. I was able to capture a video of this. Please see link below.
