17V708000 · Electrical System:Alternator/Generator/Regulator

Reported: 2017-11-10 (November 10, 2017) · Model years: 2017, 2018

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2017-2018 XLR Toyhauler, Vengeance and Wolf Pack recreational trailers equipped with an optional generator. The generator's exhaust pipe is mounted too close to the trailer's plastic underbelly.

Consequence: The generator's exhaust may melt the trailer's underbelly, increasing the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Forest River will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the routing of the exhaust pipe, lowering it away from the plastic underbelly, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on December 4, 2017. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-260-499-2100. Forest River's number for this recall is 73-0535.
