Owner report 11592071 · 2024-06-03 (June 3, 2024)

This is a 2024 Mustang convertible that I purchased from Autonation in Panama City and the back window was not properly installed and is now shaking and allowing water into the car. There is a major problem with the car disabling ABS as well and ive taken it to the dealership for both of these issues twice. The brakes did not function correctly when I was dropping off at school and I tapped the parents car in front of me. I went to autonation with my concern and even called FORD to file a complaint and neither of the companies took it seriously…

Hit a adult male black bear broadside on a street with no lighting. The forward collision warning never engaged, seatbelt did not lock, only the knee airbag deployed, and emergency braking never engaged.

Owner report 11619861 · 2024-10-15 (October 15, 2024)

From a stop at a traffic light on [XXX], I made a right turn from [XXX] onto [XXX] in Greensboro NC, and after turning, the car did not respond when I pressed on the accelerator so as to go with the traffic. Instead, the car gradually slowed down. Before the car rolled to a stop in the middle of the road, the engine caught on and the car speeded up normally. The risk is that I would become stopped in the middle of a busy road and that someone rear end into me. If this problem were to occur as I was entering onto an interstate highway, wher…

Owner report 11597747 · 2024-06-29 (June 29, 2024)

While driving or idling there is a whining sound coming from what sounds like the transmission. I also have a video of me shift from Park to Drive and back to Park again and it is making a clicking sound outside of the car. Also it is taking longer to shift. I’m concerned something is wrong with the transmission. I have brought the car to a dealership who tells me it is normal without really looking at it all because Ford has sent out a bulletin stating that the whining noise is “normal.”

Owner report 11635774 · 2025-01-13 (January 13, 2025)

I was driving home from work at approximately 65mph when my transmission shifted and slammed back into gear. I stopped in a safe location, cut the car off and then back on, but the transmission is still slipping. The dealership was notified of powertrain, electrical, and oil consumption issues at three different service appointments, but the manufacturer has been no help at all. Had I not known what to do, this could have been a completely different scenario.

Owner report 11621102 · 2024-10-21 (October 21, 2024)

–In the Owner’s Manual, there are numerous items of information not related to this car. By that, I don't mean a different variation (SL vs Rt). I mean it tells you to push buttons that do not exist. For example, in "visual mode", reviewing the steering wheel. –The Owner’s Manual says to accept a call, press the phone button on the steering wheel – no such button exists. The Owner’s Manual says to hang up a call, press the phone button. Again no such button. You can not say end call during a call– so no voice modes work in call mode. THIS FORC…

2024 Ford Mustang Ecoboost, Purchased New, Under 6,000 miles, check engine light came on. Vehicle was entering freeway and immediately had a loss of power. When taken to dealer, they stated that it was a cylinder 2 misfire, 2 weeks later they said I needed a new engine. The safety of myself and others were at risk because my vehicle lost power on the highway and immediately started shaking and making noise while operating at road posted speeds. This is not a first time occurance, I have the same model vehicle that I purchased in 2015 that did t…

Owner report 11732865 · 2026-04-21 (April 21, 2026)

I purchased this vehicle CPO and shortly after purchase the vehicle experienced a major mechanical failure involving the clutch/transmission. The vehicle had a prior safety recall (Recall #24S36) listed as “completed” before I purchased it. However, the issue has now reoccurred despite that recall being marked as repaired. The dealership is now claiming the failure is due to “wear and tear,” but the failure occurred after only approximately 1,000 miles of driving since purchase, which raises concern that the defect existed prior to sale or th…

Owner report 11619933 · 2024-10-15 (October 15, 2024)

I was slowly backing out of a parking space at the Circle K gas station on July 3, 2024, on Battleground Avenue in Greensboro, NC, and applied the brakes when the warning alert sounded that there was cross traffic. I immediately applied the brakes, but to no avail. Application of the car's brakes, pumping the brakes, had no effect on stopping the backward motion the car. The car continued to roll backwards, and I very nearly collided with a car sweeping past the rear of my car, when I could not stop. When I drove to Green Ford on July 9, …
