I was driving down the road when the engine suddenly quit. There was no brake assist and no steering assist. I stopped in the middle of the road and could not restart the vehicle. The engine would not crank. There was no transmission gear indicator on the dashboard (likely no CAN-BUS communication with the transmission control module). Eventually I found a loose large-diameter power cable that was loose at the front of the fusebox under the hood, located on the driver-side wheel well. My 2019 Ford F-650 Super Duty with 6.7L Diesel engine and under 40,000 miles experienced a check engine light for loss of fuel pressure as well as loss of engine power reducing top speed to <20mph. This loss of power occurred while driving on a freeway and created a significant safety hazard. The truck was taken to a Ford dealership where it was diagnosed with failure of the Bosch CP4 high-pressure fuel pump.
