PURCHASED 8/30/2011. 1ST SERVICE CALL NOV/2011: NOTICED AT HWY SPEEDS AND/OR ACCELERATING TO PASS OR ENTER HWY TRUCK WOULD MISS/CUT OUT. SEVERAL TIMES IT DIED AS TRUCK WAS ENTERING HWY. TRUCK WAS ALSO SHIFTING HARD WHEN GOING INTO DRIVE FROM PARK. DEALER STATED THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE PROBLEM AT INITIAL VISIT. DIAG SHOWED AN UPDATE FOR 6.7 DIESEL, THEY DID UPDATE BUT PROBLEM CONTINUES. 2ND SERVICE CALL: MAY/2012 TRANS LIGHT ON-CUTTING OUT/SLIPPING & SHIFTING HARD STILL. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD F-350 SUPER DUTY. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND AN UNKNOWN WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING, EGT SENOR #4 CIRCUIT OPEN, EGT SENSOR WAS REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,451.

WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED, THE VEHICLE, A 2011 FORD F-350 SUPER DUTY GAVE A WARNING TO PULL SAFELY OVER - WITH NO WARNING THE ENGINE STOPPED. THUS RENDERING THE STEERING AND THE BRAKING SIGNIFICANTLY DEGRADED. THANKFULLY, MY WIFE AND I WERE ABLE TO PULL INTO A NEARBY PARKING LOT AND WAIT FOR A TOW TO THE FORD DEALER. A CUSTOMARY USE OF THIS VEHICLE IS TO TOW A TRAILER OFTEN WITH HEAVY MACHINERY. THANKFULLY ON THIS DAY THERE WAS NO TRAILER ATTACHED. THIS SITUATION WARRANTS AN IMMEDIATE RECALL.
