TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1993 FORD F-250. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, HE NOTICED THAT THE SPEEDOMETER AND CRUISE CONTROL FAILED TO OPERATE. IN ADDITION, THE ABS WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE WARNING LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED UNTIL THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF. THERE WAS A RECALL UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 8V051000 (VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL:CRUISE CONTROL) HOWEVER THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THIS IS ABOUT A FUEL TANK DELIVERY AND AIR INDUCTION BULLETIN, CROSS TANK FUEL FLOW PROBLEM MY FORD F250 TRUCK IS HAVING. I HAVE NOTIFIED MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE, THEY BOTH SAY THERE IS NO RECALL FOR THIS VEHICLE. BUT I FOUND A NHTSA CAMPAIGN # 93V12500 DESCRIBING EXACTLY WHAT HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR THE LAST 6 MONTHS. CONSUMER HAD 2 REBUILD TRANSMISSIONS PUT IN A YEAR. ONCE VEHICLE WENT INTO OVERDRIVE AND IF THE LIGHT CAME ON, CONSUMER HAD TO GET TO A DELAER IMMEDIATELY OR TRANSMISSION WOULD BE RUINED. WHEN VEHICLE WAS PUT ON THE DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE, THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING. BUT, WHEN TEST DRIVEN THEY KNEW THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM. *AK
