2002 FLEETWOOD TERRA P32 CHASSIS - I HAD TAKEN MY FOOT OFF THE GAS PEDAL AS I APPROACHED AN INTERSECTION ON A FOUR LANE HIGHWAY. I NOTICED THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AND THE MOTOR HOME WAS NOT SLOWING AS IT SHOULD WITH THIS AMOUNT OF FOOT PRESSURE ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. I WAS ABLE TO SAFELY TURN INTO A PARKING LOT AND THE MOTOR HOME STOPPED DUE TO AN INCLINE. I HAD MY SON GET INTO THE DRIVERS SEAT AND KEEP HIS FOOT ON THE BRAKE PEDAL AS I PLACED WHEEL CHOCKS ON THE VEHICLE. AS IT TURNS OUT, THE AUTO PARK BRAKE HAD FAILED AS WELL (M…

Owner report 11013769 · 2017-08-08 (August 8, 2017)
BOTH FRONT BRAKE CALIPERS BECAME CORRODED AND WOULD ONLY PARTIALLY ALLOW BRAKE PAD RELEASE, CAUSING EXCESSIVE HEAT FROM CONSTANT CONTACT WITH THE ROTORS. THIS RESULTED IN BRAKE FAILURE, MELTED ABS SENSOR AND WARPED ROTORS. REPAIR REQUIRED REPLACEMENT OF ROTORS, BRAKE CALIPERS AND PADS. MILEAGE APPROXIMATELY 60000 MILES. REAR BRAKE CALIPERS STUCK THE SAME WAY (SECOND TRIP) AT APPROXIMATELY 65000 MILES, RESULTING IN EXCESSIVE HEAT AND REPLACEMENT OF CALIPERS, PADS AND ROTORS ON THE REAR. THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT OR INJURY ON EITHER OCCASION. I…
