TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 FLEETWOOD FIESTA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, BUT FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRONT BRAKES OVERHEATED, FAILED, AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 29,000.

WITH 29, 000 MILES ON THE COACH AND DRIVING AT 50 MPH ON A HIGHWAY THE FRONT BRAKES HEATED UP AND THEN ALL BRAKING FAILED. (PEDAL TO THE FLOOR W/ NO BRAKING). HAD TO BE TOWED AND REPLACED THE WHOLE FRONT BRAKES, ROTORS, CALIPERS, MASTER CYLINDER AND BOOSTER $5500.00 LATER AND 11 DAYS IN A HOTEL W/ RENTAL CAR

I OWN A 2002 FLEETWOOD FIESTA CLASS A MOTORHOME THAT RIDES ON A FORD CHASSIS. TWICE NOW WHEN DRIVING OVER ROUGH ROADS IN THE CALIFORNIA COAST, I HAVE COME CLOSE TO LOOSING CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE DO TO STEERING SHIMMY. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO THE DEALER WHERE PURCHASED AND THREE FORD DEALERSHIPS. THEY ALL SAY THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE AND HAVEN'T HEARD OF SUCH A COMPLAINT BEFORE. SINCE THEN I HAVE SPOKEN TO OTHER RV OWNERS AND F450 & F550 TRUCK OWNERS WHO ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME. EACH RECEIVE THE SAME RESPONSE FROM DEALERSHIPS. …
