WHEN TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS (55-60 MPH) WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGED, THE TRANSMISSION WILL SUDDENLY DOWN SHIFT INTO A LOW GEAR CAUSING THE ENGINE TO BRAKE VIOLENTLY. THIS COULD RESULT IN LOSS OF CONTROL AND/OR A REAR END COLLISION AND/OR A PASSENGER INJURY. THIS HAS HAPPENED ROUGHLY 12 TIMES AT RANDOM ON LEVEL OR GENTLY SLOPING ROADS DURING TWO SUMMERS OF OPERATION. WHEN IT HAPPENS THE TACHOMETER IS PEGGED NEAR THE TOP OF ITS RANGE AND OBJECTS/PASSENGERS WITHIN THE CABIN ARE THROWN ABOUT VIOLENTLY.
