THE REAR BRAKE SYSTEM CONSISTENTLY AND FREQUENTLY ALLOWS AIR INTO THE SYSTEM AND RENDERS THE REAR BRAKE INEFFECTIVE. THE BRAKES REQUIRES BLEEDING AND ONCE THAT IS DONE THE BRAKE WORKS FOR A TIME. IF THE MOTORCYCLE IS NOT RIDDEN FOR A WEEK OR SO THIS SEEMS TO SPEED UP THE PROCESS OF AIR GETTING INTO THE SYSTEM. VEHICLE SPECIFIC INTERNET FORUMS REPORT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AND IS AN OBVIOUS SAFETY PROBLEM THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED BY THE MANUFACTURER.

THE PLASTIC GAS TANK IS SWOLLEN AND WILL NOT MOUNT PROPERLY TO THE FRAME NOR ALLOWS FREE OPERATION OF THE HANDLEBARS, WHICH MAKE CONTACT WITH THE FRAME. GAS TANK HAS SWOLLEN TO THE POINT THAT THE PAINT HAS CRACKED AND THE MOUNTS ARE PAST THE FRAME...BRINGS CONCERNS OF FUEL LEAKAGE OR RUPTURE ONTO A HOT ENGINE.

I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW 2013 DUCATI MONSTER 796 FROM THE DEALER MAY 24TH 2013 AND DROVE IT HOME IN THE BACK OF MY BROTHERS TRUCK. THE DEALERSHIP PUT IN . THE BIKE KEPT THE ORIGINAL 7 MILES ON THE ODOMETER THAT THE DEALER PUT ON. I NEVER TEST DROVE IT OR ANYTHING. I TOOK IT OUT FOR A DRIVE THE FIRST TIME AND WHEN I GOT BACK THE TANK COVER WAS WARPING DOWN THE CENTER. IT IS VERY NOTICEABLE AND PHOTOS WERE TAKEN AT THAT MOMENT. THE MILEAGE READ 60 MILES AND WAS ONLY TAKEN OUT ON LOCAL STREETS. I CALLED THE DEALER AND TOLD THEM. SENT THEM PHOTOS AND S…
