Owner report 10245718 · 2008-10-16 (October 16, 2008)

ON JULY 11, 2008 I PURCHASED A NEW DUCATI HYPERMOTARD 1100 MOTORCYLE. APPROXIMATELY 2 DAYS LATER IT STARTED STALLING UPON INITIAL START UP. IT WOULD RESTART AND IDLE ROUGH. THEN AFTER MOVING OFF TO MY FIRST STOP (INTERSECTION ,LIGHT ETC.) IT WOULD STALL AGAIN. ONCE MOTORCYCLE WAS FULLY WARMED UP IT WOULDN'T STALL AS MUCH. I TOOK THE MOTORCYCLE TO DEALER WHERE PURCHASED AND THEY RESET THE TPS(THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR) AND RAISED THE IDLE. THE BIKE WOULD STILL STALL OUT ESPECIALLY THE WARMER THE OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE WAS. I BROUGHT BIKE BACK TO D…

Owner report 10265110 · 2009-04-13 (April 13, 2009)

MOTORCYCLE STALLS WHEN COMING TO A STOP OR WHEN PULLING IN THE CLUTCH. HAS BEEN TO THE SHOP 11 TIMES AND THEY HAVE REPLACED , ECU, EXHAUST VALVE GUIDE SEALS, AND NUMEROUS ITEMS. DEALER CAN'T FIX THE PROBLEM. IT'S UNSAFE WHEN IT JUST DIES. IT'S A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THIS BIKE BUT DUCATI WON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. *TR

Owner report 10970686 · 2017-04-05 (April 5, 2017)

WHEN THE MOTORCYCLE FALLS OVER THE STEERING STOP WILL BEND. THIS WILL CAUSE THE FRONT BRAKE LINE TO SUBSEQUENTLY BE CRUSHED. I.E. THE BRAKE LINE NOW BECOMES THE STEERING STOP.

Owner report 10762341 · 2015-09-08 (September 8, 2015)

SAT. 5 AUG 2015 AFTER A 15,000 MILE SERVICE, RIDING ABOUT 240 MILES THE BIKE SUDDENLY STARTED ACTING STRANGE. THE DCT LIGHT FLASHED FOR NO APPARENT REASON AND THE BIKE BUCKED ERRATICALLY. I STOPPED, AND SWITCHED IGNITION OFF, THEN STARTED UP AGAIN. IT STARTED NORMALLY. AFTER A FEW (50?) YARDS THE DCT AGAIN FLASHED MULTIPLE TIMES, AND THE ABS AND DCT BOTH TURNED THEMSELVES OFF. RESTARTING AGAIN, THE BIKE SEEMED NORMAL FOR A HALF MILE OR SO, THEN THE BIKE WENT INTO A SLOW DRIVING MODE AND WOULD NOT GET ANY SPEED. CALLING THE SHOP -…

Owner report 11281473 · 2019-11-21 (November 21, 2019)

-ON 9/26/2019 AT APPROXIMATELY 0800 HOURS, WHILE DRIVING ON THE WHITESTONE EXPY, I UP-SHIFTED INTO 3RD GEAR FROM 2ND GEAR, UPON RELEASING THE CLUTCH, THE ENGINE STALLED CAUSING THE REAR WHEEL TO LOCK (I WAS TRAVELLING AT APPROXIMATELY 54 MPH). I QUICKLY PRESSED THE CLUTCH AND COASTED TO THE SHOULDER LANE (A SEMI-TRUCK WAS DIRECTLY BEHIND ME). UPON ATTEMPTING TO RESTART THE ENGINE THE ENGINE HESITATED TO START SEVERAL TIMES. WHEN THE ENGINE FINALLY STARTED, I HELD THE CLUTCH PUTTING THE BIKE INTO 1ST GEAR AND PROCEEDED. APPROXIMATELY 10 FEET LAT…
