I HAD COUPLE OF MOTORCYCLES IN MY LIFE AND I JUST BOUGHT A 2008 DUCATI 1098 AND IT GOT STALLING ISSUES WHICH ARE PUTTING MY LIFE IN BIG DANGER . I KNOW THAT BIKES ARE DANGEROUS . BUT MY STALLS AT TURNS AT LIGHTS R WHEN IN TRAFFIC OTHER PEOPLE WITH THIS BIKE R HAVING SAME PROBLEMS .I BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALER ONCE STILL STALLS . JUST MADE SECOND APP. THEY TOLD ME ITS A HIGH PERFORMANCE .STILL HAVE APPOINTMENT .PLEASE HELP *TR

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 DUCATI DEFMOFEDICI RR (NA). WHENEVER THE CONTACT PARKS THE VEHICLE, HE NOTICED GASOLINE LEAKING FROM THE VENT HOSE INSIDE OF THE FUEL TANK. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED BY THE DEALER AND THE CONTACT DID NOT NOTICE ANY DIFFERENCES BEFOREHAND. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 1,900 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 600.

I PURCHASED A '08 DUCATI SPORT CLASSIC SPORT 1000 IN APRIL 2009. IT WAS USED WITH 1,200 MILES ON IT. WITHIN 2 MONTHS OF PURCHASE THE GAS TANK "SPREAD". THIS MEANS THE PLASTIC GAS TANK DISTORTED IT'S SHAPE ENOUGH TO COME COMPLETELY OFF IT'S MOUNT ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE GAS TANK. DUCATI IS REPLACING THIS TANK WITH AN EXACT DUPLICATE. SINCE THE REPLACEMENT TANK IS THE SAME MATERIAL AS THE ORIGINAL, I EXPECT THE "SPREADING " PROBLEM TO RE-OCCUR. THE PROBLEM IS IN THE MATERIAL USED IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE GAS TANK.
