THE NEUTRAL BY PASS SWITCH WHICH ALLOWS THE NEUTRAL START SAFETY SWITCH TO BE OVERRIDDEN VIOLATES THE FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 102.

Consequence: SHOULD THE NEUTRAL START SWITCH BE OVERRIDDEN AND THEBUS ENGINE STARTED WHILE IN GEAR, IT IS POSSIBLE FOR THE BUS TO MOVEUNEXPECTEDLY. THIS COULD RESULT IN A VEHICLE ACCIDENT.

Remedy: ON VEHICLES WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, THE SWITCH IS TO BE DISCONNECTED.

PREMATURE WEAR IN THE IDLER ARM PIVOT BEARING AND OR BALL JOINT ATTACHMENTS COULD OCCUR.

Consequence: THIS WEAR CAN RESULT IN LOOSENESS IN THE STEERING ANDERRATIC STEERING REPONSE, WHICH COULD RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT.

Remedy: REPLACE IDLER ARM DESIGN WITH A ONE PIECE DRAG LINK.
