Driving N.Bound on Hwy 270. Traveling 50-55 mph. Mores than 2.5 sec from car in front of me per my dash board. Car in front slammed on brakes but did not come to a complete stop. My Braking system kicked and started slowing me down. The car in front of me started accelerating again at this time I was doing 10-15 mph. She slammed on her breaks again and my breaking system kicked in again but I also slammed my foot on the break. My car did not stop immediately it felt like the braking system had control over how fast I could stop my car. When m…

Owner report 11643559 · 2025-02-18 (February 18, 2025)

FUEL RAIL SYSTEM - The check engine light came on after only three days/156 miles! OnStar was contacted and a diagnostic was run indicating "The Engine and Transmission System is not performing as expected. An issue has been detected in the Fuel Management System used to maintain control and monitor fuel consumption." I took the vehicle back to the dealership and was advised that the fuel rail system needed to be replaced but the part(s) are not available and there is no projected date of arrival. NOTE: The vehicle has been sitting at the S…

Owner report 11644051 · 2025-02-21 (February 21, 2025)

After shifting from reverse to drive, the main dashboard display went completely black and stayed black for the remainder of my drive cycle. During this incident, the infotainment screen remained working as normal. The dashboard display returned to normal operation at the next key-cycle (I waited 10 minutes and started again). Incident occurred February 19, 2025. It was dangerous because I could not see my speed, the engine temperature, or be aware of any warnings (had there been any). The engine appeared to run normally. I haven't driven again…

Owner report 11657996 · 2025-04-30 (April 30, 2025)

I am very unsure what is going on, but when I am in reverse my whole dash loudly rattles and vibrates the whole car. My front door speakers also keep going out with makes me think we may have a wiring issue.

Owner report 11645135 · 2025-02-26 (February 26, 2025)

I am reporting a safety incident that occurred on [XXX] with my new GM vehicle, a 2025 Chevy Trax with roughly 3000 odometer miles. I was returning to Troy MI from Ann Arbor MI on [XXX] a roughly 50 mile drive, a driver with one passenger. The weather was good, no ice or debris on the roads. We exited the highway and proceeded north through several stoplights. Just before making a right turn into a destination, the vehicle seemed to slam to stop multiple times, causing loss of vehicle control. The abrupt behavior knocked the steering wheel out …

Owner report 11655812 · 2025-04-21 (April 21, 2025)

Was making right hand turn which causes vehicle to straddle shoulder for a brief period of time because of how lines are painted. Auto steering resisted the manual steering to get into the lane properly and pulled vehicle onto shoulder further which lead vehicle to be pulled into the ditch.

Owner report 11690699 · 2025-10-01 (October 1, 2025)

1. I bought the vehicle on August 2, 2025. The Fuel Injector failed less than a week later from my purchase date. One month later the dealership replaced the Fuel Injector. Along with a pipe, seal, gasket, and retainer. 2. My safety was put at risk as I was driving on a highway and as soon as I was descending an overpass, I felt a loss of power as if the vehicle down shifted on its own. Luckily, I was still able to drive it, and it didn't stall. 3. Yes, the dealership ran their diagnostic test. 4. Same, response as question 3. 5. Yes the che…

Owner report 11749271 · 2026-07-09 (July 9, 2026)

On my way to work the car overheated causing me to be stranded in the middle of no where without cell service. When it got to the dealership to repaire the car, they stated that it was a cylinder head. The dearship had my car a little over a month for repairs, the dealership did finally give me a loaner for the last week of the repairs but I lost work and a client due to not having transportation. A week after receiving the car back I still had problems with a check engine light coming on occasionally with loss of power and it would go away. I …
