Owner report 11547936 · 2023-10-03 (October 3, 2023)
We have a chevy with the 6.2 V8 engine. First we were at a stop light on the highway and the car shifted into Neutral and would not come out for two light cycles. My wife and children were stuck at the light with car's swerving around them at 65+. Finally it shifted into Drive. We called the Chevy dealership and they said it would be a month before they could look at the car and there were no check engine warnings. Two days later my wife and family were driving down the highway and suddenly it started making a flapping sound from the engine bay…

Owner report 11595817 · 2024-06-21 (June 21, 2024)
On 5/27/23 I purchased a new 2023 Chevy Tahoe RST with a 6.2L V8 engine. On 5/28/2024, between 5 and 6pm (rush hour) I merged onto State Highway 32 in Maryland. I accelerated to match the speed of traffic and moved to the far-left lane. I was traveling between 60 and 65 MPH when my vehicle shifted into neutral by itself. I was unable to shift the vehicle back into drive. There was no shoulder on the left, so I had to coast through 2 lanes of traffic moving at a similar speed to reach the far-right lane. I could have very easily caused an accide…

Owner report 11547610 · 2023-10-01 (October 1, 2023)
This Tahoe comes with a full size spare. This model includes Brembo front brakes. The included spare cannot be installed/mounted to the front axle as the wheel is undersized and will not fit over the brake calipers. None of my ordering information nor MSRP label or model information on Chevrolet.com points out the included spare tire/wheel cannot be used in all positions of the SUV. Finding this out at 5am in the dark and drizzle of a cold Michigan morning on the side of US23 southbound is not the least bit safe.

Owner report 11640416 · 2025-02-03 (February 3, 2025)
1st incident- Engine had a bad lifter and cam shaft with 46,000miles. When this happened I was going through a railroad crossing, if the failure was bad enough and locked the engine up I would have been stuck on the tracks with my family. This issue could cause the motor to lock up if the lifter or cam shaft had a more serious failure. Dealer confirmed the lifter and cam shaft were bad and replaced. the engine had a vibration 2 weeks before the failure but the dealership could not identify or duplicate the issue. Vehicle was in the shop for 35 …
