DT: THE CONTACT EXPERIENCE A PROBLEM WITH THE DIESEL ENGINE DYING WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVE. THE VEHICLE DID NOT STALL, BUT SIMPLY DIED AT ONCE WITHOUT WARNING. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AS A WARNING, AND THE ENGINE SHUT OFF . THE VEHICLE WAS USED AS A HAULER THAT PULLED A TRAILER DELIVERING BOATS. WHEN THE ENGINE DIED THERE WAS A LOSS OF POWER, RESULTING IN A LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND THE BRAKES. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2003 CHEVROLET KODIAK. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS OIL LEAKING UNDER THE VEHICLE NEAR THE FUEL INJECTOR AND THE ENGINE AREA. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE OIL INJECTOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 69,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
