Owner report 11446203 · 2022-01-04 (January 4, 2022)
Shifting luggage during a left turn caused the remote front trunk saftey switch inside the trunk to be depressed and open the front trunk, this was at low speed in my neighborhood, no damage or issues occurred, however if this had happened at higher speeds, the front trunk lid could have caused loss of visibility if the lid had completely opened.

Transmission died after only 1400 miles, vehicle is brand new and I’m concerned about the transmission dying after only a few miles on a $110k car, already took it to a Chevy dealer and confirmed it was the transmission and needed to be changed, warranty will cover it this time

Owner report 11475347 · 2022-07-22 (July 22, 2022)
This 2022 Corvette is dangerous and could kill someone on the highway the Fronk or front storage area opens up the front hood automatically while driving this car. The car can just sit in the garage the fronk storage area opens up automatically by itself. Walk by the car lights start flashing touch the car lights flash etc. It also appears to be an electrical problem with the car. I noticed in 2020 people complained that who owned new Corvettes they were having similar problems with the front hood opening up while driving down the highway. This…

The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Corvette. No warning lights were displayed on the instrument panel prior to the failure. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that the instrument panel needed to be reprogrammed. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The …

Owner report 11457405 · 2022-03-19 (March 19, 2022)
On Wednesday March 16, I was driving my 2022 C8 Corvette with only 450 miles on it. I stopped a red light and the car stalled out. I didn't think anything of it and push to start it up again and it started as i continued to drive I approached another red light and as I stopped at it the car shut off and again and wouldn't start back up, as I pushed the start button I smelled smoke and I stop trying to start the car. Oil pressure gauge was reading 0 pressure and flashing red. A notification came across the dash board indicating engine failure an…

Owner report 11485449 · 2022-09-20 (September 20, 2022)
I have not experienced a safety incident, but have been warned not to drive the vehicle. The vehicle has 1850 miles. I recently got a message on the Driver Information Display “Rear Axel System Off”. I also receiver an email from OnStar “Engine/ Transmission fault, Seek Service Immediately”. After analysis at the Dealer, they concluded with GM that the transmission needed to be REPLACED. They indicated that it is NOT safe to drive and I should leave it at the Dealer. No other comment as to why. I found that GM reported (September, ‘21) t…

Owner report 11546301 · 2023-09-25 (September 25, 2023)
I ran an update on my c8 corvette, left the car till it was completed. The next day I left with the car and went through the stop sign and through 2 lanes of traffic and almost down a ditch. I live in a country setting. I almost had a very serious accident. I had no brakes. The dash said service brake assist, service ASC and brake failure. Although my car only has 758 miles it has run with no issues since I took delivery of it in September 2021. This happened because of that update. On the Corvette Forum I have 2 documented experiences of 2 oth…

Owner report 11618190 · 2024-10-04 (October 4, 2024)
Experiencing an ongoing problem where the brakes pulsate and vibrate badly, especially after rotors and pads get hot. I am concerned about the safety and possible failure of the brakes if it is not corrected. - The vehicle was purchased as CPO at Antwerpen Chevrolet dealership in Eldersburg, MD with 2155 miles on it. The Carfax noted the front brake rotor(s) were resurfaced. I questioned it and the dealership assured me they would take care of any issue I had with it. - I started experiencing the pulsating at 2550 miles. I went to the dealershi…
