SHIFTER STICKS IN PARK INTERMITTENTLY. DEFECTIVE SOLENOID ON SHIFTER THAT CAN NOT BE REPLACED. NEED TO REPLACE ENTIRE SHIFTING UNIT TO REPAIR. DEFECTIVE SOLENOID ON NEW SHIFTERS FAIL ALSO. $700 TO $1000 TO REPAIR. ONLY HAS 10,000 MILES ON CAR.

8 SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION DOWN SHIFTS AT A STOP WITH SUCH FORCE IT FEELS AS YOU HAVE BEEN HIT FROM BEHIND BY ANOTHER CAR WHILE COMING TO A STOP. TRANSMISSION ALSO WILL NOT ALWAYS ENGAGE PROPERLY AND WILL OVER REV AND SLAM INTO GEAR POSSIBLY CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. TRANSMISSION AT TIMES WILL DISENGAGE WHILE GOING FORWARD THEN SLAM INTO GEAR WITH GREAT FORCE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHEVROLET CORVETTE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF FUEL BUT THE FUEL GAUGE INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT LOW OF FUEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE SENDING UNIT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE PART NOT BEING AVAILABLE. The computer isn't allowing me to check off the other issues. The brakes were the other thing that couldn't be checked off. The vehicle went off the road and the brakes locked and now the vehicle is totaled. Had I been notified about these recalls this would not have happened.

There is a strong gas smell when my vehicle is parked in the home garage. The smell is very strong on the rear tire area on the driver's side of the vehicle. I contacted Gunn Chevrolet and will drop the car off 8 September 2023. There are no warning lights for this issue on the vehicle. There are several bulletins on gas leaks on C7 corvettes.
