I HAVE A 2010 CORVETTE GRAND SPORT WITH 46000 MILES THAT HAS STRONG GAS FUMES COMING FROM THE DRIVERS SIDE BY THE GAS TANK WHILE PARKED IN THE GARAGE. EVEN AFTER SITTING FOR 2 DAYS THE GAS SMELL DIDN'T GO AWAY. I TOOK THE CAR INTO CHEVROLET AND THEY REPLACED THE GAS TANK AND THE FUEL PUMP ON THE DRIVERS SIDE BECAUSE IT WAS LEAKING. THE REPAIR COST 2900.00. I ASKED THE SERVICE REP AT CHEVROLET IF THE NEW GAS TANK DESIGN FLAW HAD BEEN FIXED AND HE REPLIED THAT HE DIDN'T KNOW. I ALSO HAD A 2006 CORVETTE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM SO I HAVE TO ASSUME IT…

WHILE DRIVING AT VARYING SPEEDS, THE AIR BAG LIGHT WILL FLASH ON AND OFF RANDOMLY. THIS INDICATES A FAULT WITH THE AIRBAG SYSTEM, AND AS A RESULT THE AIRBAGS ARE DEACTIVATED AND WILL NOT PROVIDE PROTECTION TO OCCUPANTS. THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, UPON WHICH THE FRONT IMPACT SENSOR WAS REPLACED. THE PROBLEM THEN RETURNED SEVERAL DAYS LATER. IT WOULD APPEAR BASED ON OTHERS' EXPERIENCES WITH THIS ISSUE THAT IT IS RELATED TO A WIRING HARNESS CONNECTOR THAT IS SECURED TO THE SEAT FRAME. *TR

Owner report 10681078 · 2015-02-04 (February 4, 2015)

FROM TIME TO TIME THE AIR BAG LIGHT COMES ON AND STAYS ON. IT WILL GO OFF IF I MOVE THE DRIVER'S SEAT BACK AND FORTH A LITTLE. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY CAN FIND NOTHING WRONG EVEN AFTER TAKING THE DRIVER'S SEAT OUT AND COMPLETELY RE-INSTALLING IT. THIS CONTINUES TO HAPPEN FROM TIME TO TIME AND MY CONCERN IS THAT I HAVE COME TO IGNORE THE LIGHT AND ONE OF THESE DAYS THE LIGHT WILL BE ON FOR A REASON AND I WILL IGNORE IT . I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT MANY OTHER 2010 CORVETTE OWNERS HAVE THE SAME COMPLAINT MY SUSPICION IS THAT THE …

A STRONG SMELL OF FUEL IN THE COCKPIT. WHILE THERE IS NO VISIBLE PUDDLE OF FUEL ON MY GARAGE FLOOR, THE FUEL ODOR IS VERY STRONG AND I AM OBLIGED TO KEEP MY GARAGE DOOR OPEN OR THE FUEL SMELL ENTERS INTO THE HOUSE. I TOOK IT TO THE SERVICE DEPT OF WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE (CARMAX) AND WAS INFORMED TODAY THAT THE LEAK IS ON THE TOP OF THE LEFT FUEL TANK AND THAT TO ACCESS IT, IT WOULD BE NECESSARY TO REMOVE THE TRANSMISSION. I WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT SINCE THE JOB WAS A "BIG ONE" CARMAX WOULD MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO HAVE MY CAR BROUGHT TO A …

AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFT LEVER CANNOT BE SHIFTED FROM ITS "PARK" POSITION UPON STARTING THE ENGINE AND TRYING TO DRIVE AWAY. APPLYING THE BRAKE PEDAL IN ORDER TO DISENGAGE FROM "PARK" POSITION OF SHIFTER STILL WON'T ALLOW LEVER TO BE MOVED FROM "PARK". THE ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT CAN'T BE COMPLETED TO ALLOW DISENGAGEMENT OF SHIFTER. THIS HAPPENS PERHAPS ONE OUT OF EVERY SIX OR SEVEN TIMES YOU WISH TO DRIVE THE CAR. ONE MUST SIT AND MAKE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS OVER SEVERAL MINUTES TO FREE THE SHIFTER. VERY EMBARASSING IF YOU ARE IN A LINE OF CARS AT …
