Owner report 11596072 · 2024-06-24 (June 24, 2024)

I started my Escalade and 5 minutes later I lost power which as the entire vehicle had no power. So I left it alone for an hour or so in my garage and I started up again and this time didn’t loose power. Everything appeared normal and working again. Than the next day I started it up and I had this popup message SD card has been removed press ok to exit navigation (when no SD card was removed). I also noticed that my backup camera, grid lines, or augmented reality has also intermittently not working on days. It sometimes works as normal and some…

Owner report 11655341 · 2025-04-18 (April 18, 2025)

While driving on a major highway and traveling at 80 mph or so, the vehicle flashed a warning light saying “Press Start Again.” I noticed the gas pedal was no longer responding and the RPM gauge dropped to zero. The vehicle shifted itself into neutral and I was forced to steer the truck to a shoulder and scraped the underside of the front ground effect trim. The vehicle then shifted into park and would not start. When a tow operator arrived, the vehicle could not be shifted into neutral to be towed and the electric parking brake kept activating…

Owner report 11615305 · 2024-09-18 (September 18, 2024)

1.What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? •The primary issue was with the vehicle’s software system, which was incompletely updated on 9/13/24. This has caused the safety features to malfunction. Additionally, the parking emergency brake engaged suddenly while I was driving. The vehicle is currently available for inspection upon request, as I have already reported the issue and requested immediate attention from the dealership. 2.How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? …

Owner report 11652265 · 2025-04-02 (April 2, 2025)

ENGINE FAILURE Engine failed at 20k on the highway. The vehicle went into neutral and shut off at 75mph. My wife couldn't get it all the way off the highway and multiple cars about crashed into it. A semi truck locked up his brakes and almost t-boned the car with my wife and kids in it. My wife and 4 kids had to exit the vehicle and run through heavy traffic to get to a safe place. The car wouldn't restart and had to be left in the highway. The wrecker couldn't get the vehicle in neutral to get it up on the flatbed. It had to be dragged in pa…

Owner report 11650959 · 2025-03-27 (March 27, 2025)

When accelerating to merge onto highway traffic, engine starting making rattling noise from front left motor and losing power when trying to accelerate. When taken to the dealership stated metal shavings in oil and that we needed a new motor. Dealership would not tear apart motor to see what issue was. Dealership currently had motor. This commonly known defect with gm motors put my family at risk with the loss of power while trying to merge onto highway with cars traveling at highway speeds. There were no warning lights or any check engine light…

Owner report 11700501 · 2025-11-20 (November 20, 2025)

See attached document for complaint. I am writing to you as a deeply concerned mother and consumer seeking urgent help with a danger ous and unresolved engine defect in my 2024 Cadillac E calade, which has been formally recalled under NHT A Campaign 25V-274 (GM Recall 1 252494000). I purchased this vehicle in good faith, believing it would be a safe, reliable car to transport my three young children (age [XXX] , [XXX] , and [XXX] ). lnstead, the experience ha been frightening and exhau ting. The veh icle has suffered repeated engine issues, lo…

Owner report 11698116 · 2025-11-07 (November 7, 2025)

Having it at four different dealers have not corrected the infotainment screen, adaptive cruise control phantom braking, electrical display issues such as ambient temperature, malfunctioning fuel gauge. Check engine notification was on, they seem to have corrected that, the next notification was service rear axle. Back up camera fails intermittently. I have had it to the dealer nine times, GM won't do a buy back I guess until they are sued. Also, dealer changed the oil to a thicker viscosity due to the engine recall. All the above ongoing for a…

Component/System Involved: Engine / Powertrain and Vehicle Electronic Control Systems, including Serial Data Gateway Module Description of Failure: While driving at highway speed (approximately 60 mph), the vehicle experienced a sudden and complete loss of propulsion without warning. Engine power was lost while traveling on an interstate, forcing me to pull onto the shoulder without propulsion. The loss-of-power event occurred more than once during the same trip. The vehicle was towed to an authorized Cadillac dealership for inspection. Deale…

Owner report 11733122 · 2026-04-22 (April 22, 2026)

On Sunday April 19th at approximately 12:00pm. I was driving on NJ’s garden state parkway when the car had catastrophic engine failure at highway speeds. I lost full power, including power steering, and brakes. This SUV could have killed my family and I if I was unable to use brute force to control it into the right lane. While I understand that any vehicle can experience warranty-related issues, a catastrophic engine failure at highway speeds is not a typical or acceptable occurrence. The severity of this incident has significantly impacted my…

Owner report 11693478 · 2025-10-14 (October 14, 2025)

Clicking that the dealer stated was normal. It was not loud knocking saying that is how the high flow fuel pump worked. Safety braking did not work at all. And there was a water intrusion in the trunk.
